Are there any other vets on here who were also admitted?
ACCEPTED! 4.0 gpa from a CC. Non-vet.
I’m so shocked!!!
Here’s my stats and ECs:
3.98 GPA, 27 year old CC student. I’m a mom to two toddlers, math major, I’m a supplemental instructor for precalculus, math club member, calc and diff eq tutor, won best student presentation at a state math conference, and conducting undergrad research.
I’m still in shock!!
Is this program similar to Columbia GS? For admitted applicants, are you first-year or transfer and what about FA?
@Expertstep Still Active. ETS in SEP with terminal starting in July. Have you visited Brown at all?
Since Brown is need-aware for transfers, what’s your financial need?
What were your application credentials and where else have you applied?
@LouieWilder Still active also, ETS in July. Nope, wasn’t able to visit before COVID.
I’m a published author; I have a 4.0 CC GPA (with honors); I run a social/charity group for dogs with over 1000 members; every spring, I work closely with town officials to manage food and music festivals that attract well over 5000 people; I’m a member of Phi Theta Kappa; I’m on the Dean’s list; I have a unique backstory and have written excellent essays.
Rejected.
I’m waiting to hear back from Princeton, Boston College, and NYU.
@Expertstep I took leave literally right before it all shut down. Providence is awesome. Brown is amazing. Real good group of vets up there from my initial meeting but I think they’re losing quite a few this year.
I’m sorry to hear you were rejected. You have really strong stats and I’m sure you’ll find success elsewhere. Good Luck with the other applications. Keep your head up.
Congrats @hoothoot5!!! See you in the Fall!!!
Where did you guys see your decisions? I have still not received anything. In my portal, the checklist is gone but there is no status update. Anyone else in the same boat? Not sure if this is good or bad…
I was waitlisted. Congrats to everyone who was accepted!
Hey zuluzulu, did you hear anything? I was also waitlisted and I understood yesterday was the day they’d say “no” if they hadn’t yet said “yes”… but haven’t heard anything at all.
@Taijiule I heard back a few weeks ago. I was rejected haha.
Shoot sorry to hear that! I’ve been fully expecting to get a rejection but not a word.
I appreciate it! It worked out though because I ended up getting into my #1 choice. I hope you get into Brown!
Hello Guys! I am glad I caught this thread about RUE candidates. I was curious to know what the process has been like for everyone and how everyone applied? Is it similar to using the common app and what is the general consensus about the program it’s self?
