They said that this wave was supposed to come out on May 1st but they notified us early which might mean that they might have more waves later

For those who got off the WL, did you ask for financial aid?
So, I believe last year Brown, UMich and some other uni only released their WL decisions around mid-may… are schools reviewing their waitlist applicants earlier this year due to all the covid situation?
Around noon yesterday she received a video from the president of Brown welcoming her to Brown and then a update to portal about 10 minutes later
Does anyone know when the next wave might be coming out. Most likely after May 1, right?

My daughter sent a letter of continued interest updating her local rep on some research she was doing and some recent awards and had a doctor she doing the research with write an additional rec.
Any international accepted in this wave?
@scooper12 @Apro10232 @mhch2001 If you don’t mind me asking, are you guys full-pay? If not, how’s the financial aid looking and when do you need to commit?
I’m asking because it looks like UChicago is taking off the waitlisted based on ability to pay full tuition.
@scooper12 congrats! How did your daughter send the additional letter of rec. from the doctor she was doing research with? Did she obtain the letter and sent it herself, or have the doctor send it?
We are full pay but I was under the impression it was still need blind but maybe I am wrong…
We asked the doctor to send the recommendation directly to the local rep. We never saw it and I guess we don’t know for sure it was sent as we told her the deadline was May 1 but that the sooner the better…
I wish you all luck. This process is very stressful. It is so much harder than it was when I applied. I went to Yale and my daughter was rejected even though she is a much stronger candidate than I ever was. But Brown is actually a better fit for her than Yale so it all worked out for the best. Good luck. I hope there is a second wave.
