Universities cannot interview everyone. The most important thing here is: Getting an interview does not mean you will be accepted, not getting one does not mean you will be denied. It’s just one of those things; if it happens; just do really well.
Have anyone received a likely letter?
LOL… what is a likely letter?
Likely letters are sent to applicants that the Universities are really interested in. It is basically a hint of acceptance and informs the student that the student impressed the admissions office!
Just to add on…Likely letters only go to a small subset of applicants. If you do get a likely letter, that’s good news! But if you don’t get a likely letter, it’s not bad news.
And to add on to that, most LL go to recruited athletes. So it is a VERY small group of non-recruited athletes that get the letter.
Has anyone recieved the IDOC request? Thank you
Looks like 3/26 answer date!

has anyone recieved an idoc request by brown?
from*
Does that mean March 26th is IVY DAY???

Does that mean March 26th is IVY DAY???
Yes.
@josette I haven’t received an idoc request from brown. Portal shows that FAFSA and CSS were received. Have you received anything?
are there any hints to show that you are admitted
same. no idoc request.
We rec’d idoc request from college board, but portal says that no further fin aid items are needed (CSS and Fafsa complete) I dont know if this is signifcant. Brown requested Idoc through CB, but portal does not substantiate this… confusing.
I do know college board charges colleges about $6 per idoc, so why would they request them for 15k fin aid apps? Unlikely. (Other colleges, however, request idoc for *all apps. Brown? Only for some apps. ) signs point to Maybe just those with family business or confusing income. I wish ppl would weigh in on this.
I suspect that uploading to CB means that FA has them available and onhand IF an acceptance means they become needed… saves time in granting solid FA offers.
I suspect they are no sign of admittance, as evidence shows many ppl who have had Idoc requested but did not gain admittance to many/other ivies inc. Brown.
However, it is established rumor that NO Idoc request to those who have requested aid is a concrete sign of “Rejection” In other words, Getting them requsted at least means you made the initial cut. Take solace in that.
I wish there were hardcore stats to conider. My online search was thorough, and nothing can be concluded beyond:
No idoc= no admission.
Asked for idoc= jury is still out.
Asked for idoc but no portal request for docs? anomoly.
Some colleges want iDoc for all students. Brown only some, and likely those with business or complex taxes
Alledgely, FA creates basic packages for all students, but only surmised packages, so, Idoc request may mean you made it far enough that they want your hardcopies on hand in case of admission— in case of! not guaranteed.
Anyone else care to weigh in ? 20 plus days.
Good luck, all.

same. no idoc request.
DID You apply for FA?
I did not receive idoc request because I submitted everything lol so idk
