My checklist is gone
My checklist has been missing for a week now & the cryptic message is still there?
"Admission decisions for Early Decision applicants to the Class of 2024 will be available December 12, 2019, beginning at 6:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
We sincerely thank you for having applied to Brown."
Tried calling the AO on Monday before I realized that no one is working because of COVID-19…
This is what my portal says…
In preparation for releasing admission decisions on March 26, 2020, the checklist on your Brown portal is no longer available for viewing.
Just tried calling again and someone picked up! The rep told me that the message referenced ED since I technically applied ED (although through QuestBridge). She also informed me that portal checklists were scheduled to be pulled today. Never did answer my question as to why my checklist disappeared last week… oh well
I am getting bored waiting for the decision. I want to test out this theory.
- Log in to your Brown applicant portal.
- Click the "Banner Self-Service" link (financial aid)
- Click the "Requirements" link
- In the "Select Aid Year" dropdown box, select "Aid Year 2020-2021". Then Click Submit.
This brings you to the page of “Eligibility Requirements for Aid Year 2020-2021”.
I am curious to know if the “As of Date” of the required documents hold any indication of the admission status. I heard that colleges have to pay CollegeBoard for the applicants’ financial documents from IDOC. I feel if the “As of Date” is recent, perhaps that indicates that college needs your financial docs to prepare your FA package. I know some colleges don’t even bother to download the applicants’ financial docs.
My FAFSA and CSS-Profile have their upload dates. All other documents were downloaded on 03/16. Perhaps Brown downloaded everyone’s docs on the same day.
Bruh literally just wait 6 days
For me it says "checklist on your Brown portal is no longer available… " but I can still see my checklist
Same thing here- says checklist is gone to prepare for the 26th but is still showing checklist
I have the message that my checklist is no longer up for view, but the checklist is still up on my portal, below this message… what does this mean?
Mine was gone yesterday w the message showing but today it came back. Must be a glitch?
My checklist was gone. It is back now…
Sounds like a glitch since everyone here has reported the checklist. I think it make sense for some correlation between the processed date of financial aid documents and the admission status.
The last week is so slow, especially when the school is out.
@gRw110 yep.
.
.
.
I am also pumped to graduate online.
@gRw110 I can only see my FAFSA & CSS-Profile. Where can you see your IDOC information? Additionally, what date is shown for your FAFSA and CSS-Profile?
@hehehaha Under “Satisfied Requirements” are all the tax documents that I uploaded to IDOC. Here are some of them. Dates for FAFSA and CSS-Profile are from December when I uploaded them. All others are from 3/16.
CSS/Financial Aid PROFILE
Copy of Parents 2018 W-2
Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
Non Filer Statement for Student
Signed Copy of Parent’s 2018 Tax Return
Signed Copy of Student’s 2018 Federal Tax
@gRw110 I don’t think I submitted any of the other materials and it says that I’ve submitted everything they need? Not sure if me not getting an additional email about FA means I got rejected?
I also have just two items (CSS and FAFSA) and nothing about idoc.
Me too. I wonder why that is
So I got the email a while back that I couldn’t be matched with an interviewer but that I could do the 2 minute video and they would be weighted the same. However, I never did the video. Will this severely hurt my chances of admission?
I submitted a video. But I’ve spoken to many students who said they never made one. My thinking is making it can only help and not hurt your chances
