Are there any applicants who were deferred then accepted? I was deferred ED and I was wondering how many people were accepted from the deferred pool.

rejected - not a surprise

Son rejected, but in at Yale, Dartmouth, Penn, Columbia and Cornell. Cannot complain.

Accepted!!! My stats are below average, and I’m not a minority or a legacy… I’m not sure how this happened but I hope you all keep believing in yourself because there is always a chance! Also extracurriculars are sooooo important. Congrats everyone:)))

Daughter is accepted. The FA IDOC thing for us proved true.

She applied ED, was deferred. Just now accepted, but not PLME.
Her stats were like any candidates. Very strong.

We are proud and overwhelmed.

To those who didnt get the news they wanted, I think this will be a big year for waitlist. But also know that I counseled my daughter many times— UG doesnt mean a thing, grad school is what matters. For all of you tonight, the future is bright.

Accepted.

I posted earlier about my financial aid application documents being pulled on 3/16, which was after the decision was made. Don’t know if that was any coincidence. It makes sense for a college to pull your FA docs if they are going to accept or waitlist you.

Accepted: Brown, University of Chicago, Boston U, Barnard, Howard, USF Honors College, U of O Honors College, American U FDDS and waitlisted Vanderbilt and declined at Harvard and Princeton.

Full ride: American University
Full Tuition: Howard, USF and University of Chicago
Full Tuition and Room: U of O
Financial Aid: Barnard and Brown

Going to American University

@Empanadas12

First, if you were a deferral, it means you are talented enough. I suspect you’ll land at a wonderful university. Be excited for your future. I’m sure you’re are aware enough of the studies that show kids that were Ivy league material, but went elsewhere had just as good outcomes as those that went. I’m curious where else you applied, and what choices you have. Good luck, but I suspect you’ll not need much.

Our son was a deferral/accepted.
