did anyone apply for financial aid? if so, what does your checklist say? some people have a a student tax return item, which is waived.

did you fill out fasfa? or just CSS?
same! i have no idea how some people have tax statements. maybe they got chosen for the idoc?
could be… or they got asked for idoc because they didnt fill out fasfa?
We have both Fafsa and idocs. I doubt it means anything.
@anxiouswrec when did you receive IDOC request? my child received it yesterday but still do not see these.

i got an idoc request march 14 but this showed up in my portal a day ago
It’s a very good sign of admission. After asking a few Brown students, and going through ~30 profiles that got IDOC in 2028 for RD, they all got in!

Wow. That’s late. Ours is listed as of mid feb.
Why would you guys be getting IDOC requests? Did you not send all the necessary ones originally or do they want more information?
I think initially you file for CSS profile and FAFSA. CSS triggers idocs request. I am guessing getting a request is function of your financial situation and if they need to see more. I can’t imagine it’s tied to admissions.

The general consensus is that it doesn’t affect admission but it is a good sign of admission. This is only a Brown thing. The tax docs that we file are official documents that act as supporting documents for the CSS profile.
Yes, that’s what we did. Although that was requested in mid Feb. not now.
I submitted all my stuff the second it was requested from IDOC page, I didn’t get an email or anything.

Would this request likely be only for those who applied for financial aid? We won’t qualify and checked “no” for financial aid, but submitted CSS + FAFSA anyway (because some colleges want it regardless). So if we did not apply for financial aid they would not request IDOC or any other financial from us even if accepted, correct? Any insights on this? We’ve had no requests. Thanks…
We’ve had no requests, but we also did not apply for FA, and did not do the FAFSA or CSS either. If you are not applying for FA aid I can’t imagine they would need IDOC
anyone know of intls who applied for aid getting in w/o idoc? i didn’t get a request and on top of that for some reason didn’t get the checklist email so i’m feeling hopeless :((
