Brown Class of 2029 Official Thread

Why does transfer have anything to do with your high school counselor? I assume transfer happens after one year or two into college, right?

No I mean private counselor

Is there any other portal astrology? or just IDOC?

i think if u requested aid and received IDOC for updates, then its a good sign for RD applicants

Heads up: every person I’ve seen with an IDOC request has some irregularity in their financial situation, if you’re applying for aid but don’t have a request it could just be because you have a fairly normal financial situation

I meant astrology besides receiving IDOC request (we didn’t)

I was speaking generally

I had an IDOC request for early decision without any irregularities and was deferred; I strongly believe in the accept/waitlist/defer for IDOC with Brown.

What about those who didn’t apply aid? It doesnt apply to them right

Yes it wouldn’t apply to them I assume. I dont think they’d be requesting financials if you’re full-pay

Irregularities aren’t limited to inconsistencies between documents and there are cases in which the financial aid office could screw something up for a normal applicant, I don’t doubt the astro working that way, I’m saying that the converse (no IDOC=reject) is likely false

Oh for sure, no IDOC does not equal reject, I just think IDOC can carry some weight for accept/waitlist/defer IF it WAS requested

i think for rd applicants who get idoc and applied with fa its more consistent with accept no?

That is what I’ve heard.

No bruh I know someone from my school who applied as a crapshoot like 3.0 gpa etc and he got IDOC. Its wrong this year

I’m pretty sure it depends when you submitted financial aid info. Our IDOC request was early on. We submitted very early. Good luck everyone!

that peer is either abt to break the correlation or get in

I disagree - I submitted Brown 3 days late and received my IDOC request in mid-February

I submitted my financial aid info in january and got an IDOC request a little over a week ago
