Good luck to everyone on transferring, and congrats to anyone who got better news than I did haha! Not surprised, and not too sad either because UCLA has my dream program and is a great choice to fall back on

GPA: 3.9
ACT: 29 super score 30
Major: undecided
Went to Wake Forest University freshman year

Copped that clean rejection. 4.0 from NYU , 3.9+ junior/senior year of high school, do not have a gpa for freshman/Soph as I went to a different school w a different scale, but what was a B+ student— this is probably what killed me. 34 ACt and lots of leadership in high school and community service for my whole educational career. Cest la vie. I hope you all got lucky!

How many transfer students did Brown accept this year? Does anyone know?

Waitlisted for Math major
4.0/4.0 GPA at a CA Community College
800 Math/720 English SAT
Good major/career relevant ECs
I think decent Recommendations
Overall good essays but made a mistake in referring to Brown as having a minor they don’t actually offer.

waitlisted (sophomore transfer, 19F)

applied as Environmental Studies
4.0 college GPA from Ohio State (in-state)
4.2?ish HS GPA (public school), not sure UW
33 ACT (35 SS)
took gap year to do sustainability work and research/human rights activism abroad
didnt apply for FA
submitted video
recs were strong (granted i’d been in college for a semester)
ECs were strong too, very involved in environmental activism community at OSU and had 2 on-campus jobs (one professional and one at campus rock gym) while being a student athlete (sailing team)
essays i thought were fantastic

congrats to all accepted!

Also rejected. I expected this because my stats don’t quite match up to the norm for transfer.

GPA 3.72
Top 20 LAC
History major

Rejected. Freshman at UNC with college GPA of 3.5. HS GPA 4.2 weighted. Lots of EC. Got into Northwestern, so will be going there. Good luck to everyone! Brown has one of the lowest acceptance rates for transfer apps - so it’s really tough.

rejected LOL however I applied for FA and needed FULL aid so…I am not too surprised :expressionless:

In an earlier post I read that someone asked about this - Acceptance rate for transfers is about 5% at Brown. We did not apply for financial aid and were rejected.

ACCEPTED!

ACCEPTED Duke and Brown- still waiting on Columbia today at 5pm

@hopefulkid121 Congrats! Both schools sound amazing, just out of curiosity would you be willing to share your stats and also which school you’re leaning towards as I am interested in applying to all 3 next year!
