Is there a place admitted kids can connect? She is excited to meet her new classmates! I remember my son who is now a sophomore in college had an Instagram group…

I’m not super knowledgeable on these things but maybe there was a discord last year? They seemed to all post on the admit insta and connect that way too.

Congratulations!

Thank you! My son is very happy.

Thank you!

For future sleuthers, daughter got in ED after getting IDOC in mid-November. Four other applicants (with financial aid) in our city never got IDOC, got rejected. Some people seem to really want this not to be true, but, as people with actual connections to Brown have said (like the poster above), it is a phenomenon unique to Brown and proves true most of the time. Good luck to everyone!

Accepted!! Still can’t believe it. No IDOC request.

ā€œIn addition to the 906 students admitted through the early decision process, 900 applicants were deferred and will be reconsidered within the context of the regular decision pool; 3,120 applicants were denied admission.ā€

ED apps dropped from 6,244 in 2023 to 5,048 this year.

For anyone who wants to get added to the Brown Early decision group chat, please pm me so I can add you.

Congratulations to the newest Brown ED admits. If you’re active on FB, there’s a very helpful group, it’s Brown University Parents/Guardians, with great resources for housing, move in, etc.

Congrats all! I think Brown wins for best acceptance video this year too!

Did I completely miss that?

It’s on their brownuadmission insta, most just do a graphic or simple video. Felt it captured the energy nicely.
