better graduation rates?
strong STEM?
better financial aid?
conducts the most research?
more student diversity?
better “feel” and atmosphere?
If that’s the case, you likely shouldn’t apply ED to either. Have you visited both? Applying ED without having visited is a bad idea.
Brown and JHU are both awesome universities with lots to offer; the criteria you list have negligible differences except campus atmosphere and possibly financial aid. For the latter, run the net price calculators. For the former, none of us can tell you which campus atmosphere is more suitable for you; you’ll have to decide that for yourself.
