Brutus Buckeye was spotted in Toledo, OH this afternoon at lunch time. I do believe he was in route to Ann Arbor, MI from Columbus, OH and apparantely did not use mapquest for directions. If anybody in Toledo, OH is heading towards Ann Arbor, MI this evening or tomorow morning please give Brutus a ride. He was last spotted in the University of Toledo parking lot.
Thanks!!!

Here is his picture for easy identification:

Somebody from M must have gotten to him and really gave him wrong directions. I just saw him trying to hitch a ride on the Long Island Expressway, but I couldn’t help him because I was in the HOV lane. Go Bucks!

My son jumped in too. Don’t worry SportsMama, she would have gotten sick if she didn’t jump, as following traditions keeps up the immune system. ;).

I went and visited OSU on Thursday without even knowing it was jump in Mirror Lake day. I didn’t jump for a number of reasons (no change of clothes, getting sick, etc.) but it was a great time. So many people were in the lake: some for 30-40 minutes. It was insane.

Haha, I went down to the lake myself. Just to watch though…I have no effect on whether we win or lose, so I decided at the ripe old age of 23 there’s no reason to get sick

On the subject of Brutus and Brutus trivia, my husband…who graduated from OSU in the 70’s…said Brutus’s head used to much bigger (literally). They needed like two people to prop it up!

Yes. I graduated in 1975 - back then Brutus was about 3 feet around - he came down to the waits of the guy wearing him. The one shown for 1965 in this page is the one I recall:
