Bryn Mawr or Agnes Scott?

Quick updates. :)

Ashleigh has applied early decision to Bryn Mawr. We are waiting patiently, I guess a few more weeks to go before she hears.

@Confidential2014, yeah, if you guys get into the same school it would be nice to get to know someone before the start of the school year. Keep me posted, I’ll update here too. :)

Thank you kindly for you input and well wishes Bob.

She received her acceptance notification from Byrn Mawr this afternoon. Now that the search, visits and application are over, and she is where she wanted to be, I have a chance to reflect some. Thanks to everyone here for your advice, and kind words of encouragement.

I will say this, as this is my first time going through it, I was all caught up in it. Just as nervous and excited as she was. Once we found out and celebrated together (which will continue for a few weeks I believe), the reality of what we had been doing for the last 15 years hit. Everything I wanted her to become academically, with the hope of getting into a quality college has come to pass, and what this means is my little girl will soon be leaving me. While I am overjoyed with her success, I find I am saddened it is her time to leave the nest.

God Bless all those parents past, present and future who have or will experience what I am feeling now. To ours kids!

I’ll be going to Bryn Mawr next year and all I can say is that it is a FANTASTIC school. I went there on an overnight visit a couple weeks ago and everyone there is just SO nice and friendly and passionate about what they do!

Good luck wherever you end up! :)

Best of luck to your daughter OP! Bryn Mawr is an excellent college :)
