She did show a lot of interest in Bryn Mawr: Sophomore Feb open house visit, junior March open house visit, June interview, met with regional rep during high school visit (same one she interviewed with), did Fall senior overnight.

My D also got in with a Presidential Scholarship! So excited she might stay in PA (we are in Pittsburgh).

My daughter got in also! She received a presidential scholarship for 4 years! We are in upstate New York and she showed a lot of interest, did a tour and then returning for an interview.

Daughter admitted with Merit money. Is there a parent Facebook group? Congratulations to all!!!

in with some merit. Very, very proud!

Congratulation for your aacceptances!!! I was waitlisted. I have a question: Does Bryn Mawr accept Letter of Continued Interest?

DD accepted with 40K Presidential scholarship. She is very excited since she’d be 4th generation to go there! If only they had an engineering program!

Hi, Congrats to those who got Presidential Scholarship Awards. Would you mind posting stats? My D loves BMC but the merit aid provided is not enough to make it affordable for us. I’m wondering if, although it’s supposed to be merit aid, do you think they look at EFC? Ours is high so I’m wondering if that could have been a reason she didn’t get it.

My D stats are:
ACT 34 (submitted)
GPA 4.0/4.2 (her arts school offers few APs and she took all allowed and the most rigorous curriculum)
500+ service hours
GS Gold Award
We visited and she interviewed locally - we are from CA (although BM common data set says they don’t consider demonstrated interest and interviews have low weight.)

I’d love to hear your thoughts, thanks!

My D was accepted $10k merit. She did do an overnight visit. She liked the other high school seniors, but was not impressed with the Bryn Mawr freshman that she roomed with. Unfortunately this really colored her view. She was going to do ED but changed her mind. Probably will attend Mt. Holyoke

Hi! My name is Liz, and I am a current student intern at the Office of Admissions. Bryn Mawr does accept letters of continued interest!

Susan, isn’t there a combined engineering program with Penn? A 3/2 thing?
Look it up!

Yes there is actually. A 4+1 masters in engineering with Penn. I have encouraged my D to seek more information about it. Logically it seems like she should just go to a great engineering school- she has been accepted to several. BUT Bryn Mawr is special and perhaps the 4+1 program could give her what she needs in an environment she loves. Thanks @bmcalumna!!

@MamaNamaste – to help with your merit calibration: D20’s stats are posted above. She got $30k presidential award (looks from the posts above like it comes in $30k and $40k flavors), and we are full pay and did not file FAFSA or CSS.

@Katkennie – That is too bad about the student your daughter roomed with. Any specifics about why she was unimpressed?

My daughter just committed to Bryn Mawr!!! So excited!!! She’ll be class of 2025 because she’s taking a Gap Year but we can’t wait to see what this exciting time and this amazing school has is store for her…Anassa kata!

Has anyone from the waitlist heard anything from the school? I’m an international student, and Bryn Mawr has been my dream school for some time now. What does one even do to increase their chances? Has anyone gotten off the waitlist yet?

@Raven124 same, do you know when they’ll come out?

@aaahir I have no idea. I saw somewhere that someone got off the waitlist last Tuesday, but that’s all I know. I’m an international student, and my chances aren’t looking very good. Good luck to you tho
