Bs in AP classes

Dear All, merry christmas 1st of all! or kwanzaa, or hanukkah! or !

my question:

are bs in ap classes bad?
i heard that ivy league admissions have holistic approaches, but i have many b’s in 9th, 10th grade, and in 11th grade i hoped to get all As, but there is a b+.

note: i am from a very competitive international school, that has high school diploma and ap diploma instead of ib program.

9th grade
english a
german a
math a
sport b
ap-prep a-
history a-
orchestra a
music a
geography a-
spanish a
biology b+

so 2 bs

and 10th grade: many. how can i explain i went through hard times in this year in my essays?

german a
math a
history a
choir a
orchestra a
spanish a
chemistry a

english b+
art b+
geography b
sport b-
ap prep b

another question: do they count sport and music and art?

now 11th grade, i thought i ll go crazy in school work and cut down some of my activities.

ap english a
ap spanish a
ap german a
ap calculus b+… sadly
ap biology b+… sadly
ap us history a-
ap comparative govt. a

so my gpa is going up and up and up, should i cut some classes?

senior year workload:

ap english
ap spanish
ap chem
ap physics
ap art history
ap psychology
ap statistics
ap euro history
probably they will be mostly as and one to two b+s.

i took and am taking all the aps in my school available.

selfstudying: i got a lot of time in may and summer  did all my activities and such in freshman and soph years. i know i can handle it. i dont want to sound cocky, but i think ill manage 5s on most of them.
ap macro
ap micro
ap us gov
ap env science
ap human geography
ap world history
ap calc bc (maybe)

now… do the people want effort, like this? or will they be caring about my bs in soph years?

thanks in advance!

I’m wondering how you can take 9+ subjects each year? My school only has 7 periods per day o.o

You’ll be fine. Rigor of course-load is factored in, and no admissions officer will look down on you for those grades in those classes.

^^ We could take up to 10 classes if you personally decide to take one early in the morning before class actually starts and one after school

^serioulsy? Wow! what a school! BTW, that actually sucks!
No good morning/good afternoon for you then…:)

thanks guys, for such helpful responses!

its great to know that they consider rigor of the schedule in their admissions.

at james: i can make it to 10 periods per day

at high: thanks! i wanted to make up for rather mediocre 10th grade

at xx: ours too!
