<p>@KLM123. Yes, I agree that you D should do an MD/PhD. My dad is a physician scientist with MD/PhD. According to him, physician scientists are highly sought after and with the credentials, interests in research, and publications, she would be highly competitive for top residency program. My dad is a British-trained oncologist and he moved to this country to be a physician scientist. He was able to obtain a medical licence and practice, without having to do any training in this country. He was highly sought after and could have gone into any teaching medical centers he wants. So, physician scientist is the way to go, especially if you are interested in research.</p>

<p>Finally! I got intouch with Lehigh admissions and they said the BA MD committee should be making their decisions this week, and that decisions would be mailed out by Monday!</p>
<p>I just got off the phone from Penn State admission office. The PSU/Jefferson decision letters were mailed on March 19th.</p>
<p>The current status on the site says
“We are confirming our review and an admissions decision will be posted here in the coming days.”</p>
<p>Drexel med is also coming out this week!</p>

<p>@mistryse13, This would be on the Discover Drexel Portal, under Admission Decision. Mine has 3 decisions… Admission to Drexel, Admission to Honors College and Admission to accelerated program.</p>

<p>“D didn’t get admission to Princeton. Just got a likely letter. She is a candidate for US president award 2013 which may have triggered this litter.”</p>
<p>A llkely letter implies an admission is guaranteed unless they find the mid year report lacking. There are so many people that get nominated for presidential scholar in the initial round that it usually does not rise to “likely letter” threshold unless there are very few nominated from your state.</p>
