***BS/MD Interview Notification for Class of 2013***

Accepted
Texas A&M University + Texas A&M Health Science Ctr College of Medicine

congrats to radiantrobot! D got a phone call for interview too. Is your date 4/6? what if the date conflicts with others… Is it bad idea to ask for date change?

Congratulations @asianandproud. Is it the PPC program at A&M?

@cc_mom Indeed

@asianandproud congrats :slight_smile: do you think you will enroll?

@Asian_proud congratulations. Where is the Texas A&M Med Center located? When I visited College Statation a few years back they had no med school. Also is this program limited to instate students?

If anyone is planning on going to Drexel/Drexel, PM me and maybe we can work out dorming (male, millennium hall)

@newdoc So you are now set on Drexel?

Just got accepted to Sophie Davis, no MCAT required.

@TheBombingRange
As of now lol
Congrats on Sophie Davis!

@newdoc I know you are in NY, did you apply there? It’s weird, they said they are trying to get LCME accredited to award both the BS and MD degrees as a CUNY Med School. I still think Brooklyn College and their program has more benefits, though.

@Matrix The College of Medicine was established in the 70’s but it is in Bryan, TX instead of CSTAT.

@TheBombingRange
I didn’t apply to that program because the environment doesn’t seem appealing for me. I also know someone in that program and he doesn’t like it very much

@TheBombingRange How did you find out?!

@tenacious4 They emailed me about an hour ago. IDK which is better, Harlem or Flatbush lol. We will have to see what happens with Stony Brook at the interview tomorrow and with NJMS next week.

@NKB747 My S also thought he’d only attend Miami if he got into HPME. In the end, he decide to attend without it and has been extremely happy with his choice. The premed support has been fantastic.

Rejected to Howard BS/MD. I didn’t think we’d hear back from them till the summer since they want you to commit before interviewing. Sixteen BS/MD rejections and counting!

Matrix 007: No guaranteed admission to MD, but through the years most students who win this scholarship(which is very similar to Stamps +more)do very well in securing admission into medical programs. Have a few BS/MD options, but am waiting to see my options…can’t seem to make up my mind as taking the scholarship means I have a debt free undergrad. education. ( I never expected to win this scholarship, making it difficult to give up).

I FINALLY found out about GW’s scholarship for the BA/MD program after they called me today, they put up a $20,000/year scholarship for kids in the program. Not bad…

Accepted into UT PACT/UT SOUTHWESTERN BA/MD class of 2020…top choice
Good luck to everyone

Congrats Medicine96! Which UT school is PACT? I know a bunch of the UT schools started programs this year, but idk which is which…
