*** BS/MD Interview Notification for Class of 2014***

@texaspg. 17 Indians, 15 Asians ( Chinese etc ), 15 Girls.Out of popular graduation courses ( law, medicine, business), which is the tough one to get admission after undergraduate?

Only 15 girls out of 40? That is a drastic drop from last year’s 30.

It is a combination of many factors but I think you could get into easier law or business programs even if you don’t do as well in undergrad but medicine will be a lot harder even for schools that are shown as unranked. This is because graduating from any medical school in the nation gives you the same level of income while graduating from a lower tier business or law school does not compared to top tier schools.

Anyone accepted to Penn State/Jefferson going to the Accepted Students Day? If so, what date?

April 14th! See you there ;)

Same! Anyone else wanna go on the 14th with us?

UT-PACT had 37 interviewees. The two day interviews were well coordinated, even making the candidates strongly anxious to be in the program.

HickoryDoc, I also got UG acceptance for UM couple weeks ago by snail mail, it mentioned that this is the most competitive year and they accepted 2000 out of 30,000 applicants. My Miami HPM interview was end of January and they mentioned responses will be on April 1.

Anyone applied to Brown PLME? Are we going to hear from them on March 28? Is this going to be UG first or they notify for both on the same day?

I forgot to congratulate people who so far got a BS/MD program! Good luck to everyone else as well!

@dumich, how did your friend get invite for the Hofstra interview? email? Also, do you know when did he get his invite for the interview?

@docstudent…invited via e-mail: gave him 4 dates March 5, March 10, March 12, March 14. He interviewed on Wed March 5. He was invited around Feb 20.

@doc2013 do you know when they will let know of PACT acceptances

@DoctorBarguz- I heard that Brown is notifying on March 27th. Either way, last year applicants heard about regular ug admission and PLME admission at the same time. The website says that we’ll only hear about PLME in early April though, so they may be changing it this year?

@tdoc20, UT-PACT results will be on March 24th

@dumich thanks for your answer to my question before. Is this your letter or your friend’s?

Does anyone know when Northwestern HPME decisions will come out by?

Brown PLME comes out with your UG decision on March 27th, your Brown portal will show both simultaneously. I know because my twin applied ED this year, and that’s how the process was.

@mcat9442 As for Northwestern HPME, decisions usually come out 3-4 days after the UG decisions. Does anyone know when the UG decisions will be released? Also, if you find out you were waitlisted UG at NU, you can expect that you were rejected from HPME. I do not like that they do this (but it makes sense in terms of yield numbers and kids only wanting to go to NU for the HPME program), but they will often waitlist the kids they interviewed who they decided to not ultimately accept.

@arsh96…missed out on the application to Hofstra!

@WeIsCool I heard that HPME comes out April first and the undergrad results come out the last week of march. I also read before that yeah if youre waitlisted/rejected at NU, that means a rejection from the program, and if youre accepted, that means you’re accepted to the program. I guess this is just what I’ve heard but I hope it’s not true; I’d love to go to Northwestern either way.
