BS with high acceptance rates?

Boarding Schools with acceptance rates over 40ish %, that still have academic rigor, arts, and athletics. (and a formal dress code)

Formal dress code is out of the option, but The George School in PA has an IB program, an arts program, and athletics. While probably not the “strongest” or “best” option, it has an acceptance rate of over 50% I believe. The financial aid aspect, however, took a hit this year.

Oh thank you:) You’re going to Peddie, I see? Was it difficult to get in?

Episcopal High School :D

Difficult to get in…ehh… I can’t really tell for sure. I mean, the acceptance rate at all the schools went totally down this year, and so I’m pleased I was able to grab a spot. My sibling does go to Peddie, but I don’t feel that was a very big factor in the decision process. I personally applied and got into the George School, and it’s really great. I hope you check it out!

^^ Episcopal?

^And is the George School as rigorous as the other schools that get their students into top tier schools?

Well, Episcopal has a formal dress code, rigorous academics, arts, and athletics…but I think the acceptance rate was only around 30-35% this year. I wouldn’t call that a high acceptance rate by any scale.

You’d have to visit and talk to people who actually go to George School to get a clear sense of their academic program. I do know that graduates from there go on to a wide range of colleges including the Ivy League and top LACs. But a high school education is so much more than a matriculation list.

They’re both great schools, so go investigate them!
