On page 3, there is a mention of the possibility of “reopening Barrington Hall in 2025” under “Expansion”. It is also listed as a BSC house that needs seismic retrofitting.
Property records show that the property at 2315 Dwight Way / 2316 Haste Street that was Barrington Hall, currently operated as a rooming house called Evans Manor, is still owned by the BSC under its former USCA name.
When it was a co-op house, Barrington was the largest house in the BSC / USCA. However, as it is currently used for student housing, converting it back to a co-op may not increase total student housing capacity by much, although that would change the nature of the housing offered at the property. Presumably, the BSC would need to figure out a way to avoid the problems that occurred at Barrington, Chateau (now Hillegass - Parker for graduate and re-entry students only), and Cloyne (now a substance-free academic theme house) if it wanted to reopen Barrington as a co-op house.
