BSc Social Science degress in US?

I’ve been recently looking into the London School of Economics, and although I’ve accepted that chances are I won’t get in, I really love that they offer BSc degrees in programs like Government, International Relations, Political Science, and History, while US colleges tend to offer BA degrees. I’m sure that the degrees aren’t actually that different (if anyone knows more about any differences between the degrees I’d love your input), but I just like the idea of getting a BSc in IR, so I was wondering, are there less selective universities (preferably in the US) that offer this?
Thanks for your input! :)

I’m guessing BSc is a bachelor’s of science degree? You can get a bachelors of science degree in any major as long as you have 60 credits of science classes or classes that count for natural science credit at a university. This information is coming from the University of Michigan. I personally know many premedical students who majored in sociology or psychology and even political science that got a B.S. degrees.

Oh ok, never mind then. I was hoping BSc would just show that it was more analytical, but I can’t stand natural science, so I guess I’ll just drop it and go with BA. Thanks for your help :)

Well natural science is not just science courses. Calculus, statistics, bio-psychology, cognitive psychology as well as other hardcore science classes count towards a bachelors of science degree. Albeit in order to fulfill this requirement, you are going to have to take a lot of science classes.

Whether a bachelor’s degree is “of Arts” or “of Science” is school dependent.

For example, UC Berkeley grants Bachelor of Arts degrees in Math and Physics, while MIT grants Bachelor of Science degrees in History, Literature, and Writing and Humanistic Studies.

Georgetown’s School of Foreign Service (housing the IR, International history, International Economics, International Political Economics, Culture and Politics, Science Technology and International Affairs, and Regional/Comparative Studies majors) grants Bachelor of Science degrees.
