Just had my first class here at Berkeley and we’ve used bSpace through out the semester. All assignments and tests are up and was wondering, if the grade at the top of the “gradebook” page the official score I have for the class?

Does bSpace usually indicate -X, X, and +X? Or just a letter?

It is all up to the professor and GSI but generally if there is an overall grade, it would include and + and - if part of the grade.

From time to time, they calculate grades that you can see, then the professor does some curving to normalize the different discussion sections and the grades for th entire class. If so, the grade may change. In that case you usually see a post on bspace informing you this is happening, but take the grade ‘with a grain of salt’ until you see it show up in Bearfacts. Less likely to change once it is there, but even that has been known to happen.

Thanks! That helped to clarify some things.
