BU Email Adress and Web Account

<p>Sweet, I just got the email to set up my BU web account (the link is here: <a href=“http://www.bu.edu/computing/earlybird[/url]”>http://www.bu.edu/computing/earlybird&lt;/a&gt;, I think that should work for everyone, but I’m not positive). I was pretty happy to get <a href=“mailto:kaiser@bu.edu”>kaiser@bu.edu</a> and in 24 hours I should be able to get into my e-mail and check work-study jobs and whatnot. Also, BU Facebook, yaaaay!</p>

<p>how do we log into our actual e-mail account? facebook said it sent a confirmation to that account, but i have no idea how to access the actual e-mail account, only the student link. so confused.</p>

<p>you have to wait 24 hours to get your e-mail from the first time you set your name and password…</p>

<p>theres a forum on myspace that said if you want a facebook right away… you can…</p>

<p>"you have to go to the e-mail link on ur newly created bu page… and foward your e-mails to another name. test it out to make sure it works. then sign up for facebook and then you can register. so yeah i am now on facebook because i cheated the system… "</p>

<p>For those who don’t know how to check their BU “e-mail boxes”, go to <a href=“http://www.bu.edu/webmail/[/url]”>www.bu.edu/webmail/</a> </p>

<p>On the right side of the page, click on either “horde”, or the other mail server, and then it will ask you to log in.</p>

<p>I filled out my E-Mail thing yesterday and it took about 4 hours till I could access my E-Mail.</p>

<p>there’s been a few times throughout the year that the BU email acted weird and was very slow to access.</p>

<p>if you’ve always used gmail or hotmail or something else, i recommend forwarding your BU email to your current email. it should be in the options somewhere.</p>

<p>but… welcome to college facebook. don’t get TOO addicted…</p>

<p>what is this ACS mail thing? I just got my BU login name and email address, and i guess i have to wait 24 (or less) hours to access it, but do i need to setup this ACS or any of these other options they’ve listed? I have no idea what’s going on…</p>
