BUAD 304 curve?

Can anyone explain the curve for BUAD 304 to me? People seem to be doing pretty poorly in that class. Are you curved at all? If so, is it against your discussion/the class as a whole/ based on your ta/ etc etc. Thanks!

There is a huge curve in 304 because people do horribly on the exams as they are meant to be hard. You need to memorize every thing for the exams as well as the required reading material in order to answer everything. I think each discussion section is curved individually so it is done by the TA/Phd student who leads the discussion section. This is one course where there is a pretty strict bell curve so it is challenging to get an A in the class.

All Marshall classes are curved to a B (For every C, there is an A, and so on… though this is a gross simplification, just it is Marshall policy to curve the class so that the average is a B). Depending on the distribution of test grades, it can either be very hard or very easy to get an A - You just need to do well compared to your classmates. Also, I believe it is by lecture, not TA section… but I’m not 100% sure.
