"Buckley Amendment Release of Aid Information to Parents"

On my Yale account, it says this is missing and that I need to submit it to receive my financial aid, but the only thing I have thats anything like that is the “notice of privacy of student educational records” letter, which is clearly designated as optional.

Can anyone offer clarification about this?

In the past, there was indeed a separate form for this. But since this year, a statement on the second page of the student financial aide application form serves the same purpose, I think.

I was puzzled by this too when I tried but failed to locate the Buckley Amendment form. But read what I wrote here with a grain of salt – as this is just my interpretation only, not an official statement from the financial aid office.

^I believe you are correct. The Buckley Amendment was added to the Family Information Supplement sheet and therefore if you sent in all 3 pages of it, the Buckley Amendment is sent as well. When I called the Financial Aid office and asked them why it said it was missing, they said that once they review everything that is sent to them, they will make the correction. So, I wouldn’t worry about it for now. I’m still waiting for my final, official financial aid offer…
