<p>Too little too late from the Republicans, neoconservative or not. Really now - not much has changed since the fall of 2004 when we had a chance to boot this silver spoon president. Buckley is just trying to save face and hold on to the Republican majority.</p>

<p>There’s nothing “lately” about Buckley’s criticism of Bush foreign or domestic policy. Buckley has been quite hard on Bush throughout both terms, Liz, but you’d you’d have to be a regular reader of his columns to know that. Here’s just one, from 2003:
