bucknell coed dorms and rules

D is in class of 2020 at bucknell. what are rules for students socializing in one another’s dorm rooms and are rules enforced

I’m not familiar with Bucknell, but a quick search pulls up their [Student Handbook](Student Conduct), with the Residential Living Policy beginning on page 52. The closest I can find to your question is the:

Guests and Visitors
Bucknell residential facilities are welcoming and open to guests and visitors. For the purposes of these policies,
“guests” refer to current Bucknell students who live in another location on or off campus, and “visitors” refer
to individuals not enrolled or employed at Bucknell, who are visiting campus. Roommate(s) must approve of
guests and visitors within individual residence hall room spaces. Residents are responsible for their guests and
visitors and can be held responsible through the student conduct process for their visitor and guest’s actions
while in the residence halls. Bucknell students are expected to reside in their assigned residential space. Guests
and visitors are permitted to stay with their host for up to six (6) days in one calendar month, but no more
than three (3) days consecutively.

I would assume there is some specific time that guests may need to be out of the dorms, but do you have a specific concern? If so, your D could bring it up at New Student Orientation, or you could call the housing office directly.

Guessing OP is concerned about whether there are parietals (dormitory rules governing visits from members of the opposite sex) and if so are they enforced.

OP, I have it on very good authority (current students) that there are no limits (no ‘no boys on the hall after 10pm’ or anything) and nobody monitors who is in whose rooms at Bucknell.
