I’m taking at trip to Pennsylvania in a few weeks to visit Bucknell, Lehigh, and F&M, so I just wanted some information/input/ comparison of the schools from college confindential before I go and see for myself. I plan on following a pre-med track in college so which would be best for that? What are the social scenes/ demographics like at each school? If I fall in love with one of these schools during my visit I may apply ED, but I hear ED at Bucknell may be harder than RD because all of the recruited athletes apply ED. Is that true?

bump (same question)
ED shouldn’t be harder at Bucknell…
Bucknell and Lehigh are D1 schools, F&M is a D3 school. All three have Greek life, fairly prominent I hear, though we have not visited any of them yet (high school junior). At D3 schools, recruited athletes are likely to in the ED pool because there are no letters of intent etc. I believe it works similarly in D1 schools, though am not as familiar with that process because my kid is only looking D3.
You can easily find the ED stats on each school by searching for the Common Data Set for that school, and then in the Admissions section, it will identify how many students applied ED and how many were accepted. You can calculate the ED acceptance rate from that, as well as identify how much of the entering class is committed though ED. At some D3 schools, almost 1/2 the class is filled before Admissions even looks at regular apps.
