Yes, my specific major is only offered to me at UIUC, and the career opportunities are far better at UIUC than at WIU or SIU.

uofiapplicant You are just insulting UIUC by comparing it to WIU or SIU. Of course, UIUC has better just about everything. It is the flagship campus of Illinois. You got accepted as a transfer, not many people get that opportunity. You need to decide very wisely about whether to take a lot of debt and attend UIUC or attend a tier 2 college with almost no debt.

Well, like I said, my parents will help me pay off the loans, and they will all be federal loans. I’m also on schedule to graduate a semester early so that may help, but we all know how those things go.
I only compared uiuc to wiu and siu because the previous poster suggested them.
So I’ll be looking at about 43k in loans before interest sets in. I think my parents will pay 15k so roughly 30-35k isn’t crippling right?
If I graduate a semester early then I’ll be in about 36-37k
I also received a 1k scholarship from UIUC and will be applying for more
