I plan on going to USC’s film school and was hoping to stand out by making a film portfolio(Junior). I haven’t made much films so this will be a start. Any tips or instructions?

I’m a senior in HS and I’ve made a few films. I guess the only way to do it is to just keep making movies. Every time you have an idea, just grab your camera and make a short film. They don’t all have to have a budget, just as long as you get the idea on film.

Instructions?

Make an Evernote account and create a notebook for film ideas. Download it on your phone, iPod, iPad, iPhone, Mac, PC, and it will sync through all of them. When you get an idea, write a note about it. This way you’ll also have a portfolio for your ideas.

Look at cameras if you don’t already have one. I think DSLR’s look really good for film.

Create a free blog page for your YouTube channel and then Create a Youtube channel. Try to make the names the same, or as close as possible. Ad links to each other on each the blog and YouTube.

Upload your videos to both.
