Presumably, she’ll step out of the race now, but ya never know…</p>
<p>They’ve said she will do this as soon as Obama gets the magic number of delegates (presuming it will be tonight). Her campaign manager apparently just confirmed this on the Today Show.</p>
<p>If she wins SD, if the superdelegates don’t commit as expected, it’ll seemingly keep going till Obama hits the "magic’ number but once that number is hit she will concede. One would presume she should do so.</p>
<p>I posted this news on another thread that may not get any attention now, but since I’ve posted, I now wonder and suspect there’s a difference between admitting he has the delegates, and ending her campaign. I don’t think she will end her campaign tonight. I think she will suspend it.</p>

<p>Well, Newsweek isn’t calling it a concession and the campaign has pointedly said that whatever is happending, it’s not a concession anyway.</p>
<p>So, some news outlets are reporting that she’s going to do SOMETHING but that something is not a concession. The campaign is saying she’s not going to offer a concession. Those aren’t contradictory if you think that she might suspend or some similar choice of words. I guess it depends on what the definition of is is.</p>
<p>Yeah, I think people took what was written and extrapolated to places the campaign didn’t want to go.</p>

<p>I think Republicans are very happy with the situation now. The coalition of the new democratic party wont win more than 3 states (I am being generous here). The new DNC need to attract about 70% of Hillary supporters to be a viable general election party. </p>
<p>The Republican party should aggressively go after the Latino vote. Bush won 44% in 2004, and I think that MacCain will probably win about 50% or more. They should totally forget about the Black vote, they will be lucky to get 6%. They should also concentrate on the other section of old Democratic party that are being discarded to make way for the new party. </p>
<p>Hillary voters are up for grabs, and MacCain should focus on getting about 40% or more of these voters.</p>

<p>Which person authorized to speak for the entire party are you quoting? I guess you could say Howard Dean and his immediate staff speak for the whole party, but that’s about it. If you’re talking about Donna Brazile, she’s a pundit, and it’s just bizarre to take her words as some kind of statement of purpose of a political party.</p>
<p>Hillary Clinton is going to accept reality and math? Naw, she’ll “fight it to the convention floor!” McCain owes her a lot right now. (and she owes a lot too…)</p>

<p>As the morning rolls on all the denials on behalf of Clinton are coming out and they are pretty good at living in denial.</p>
<p>I think she is still waiting to see how the contests today pan out and if/when the remaining superdelegates finally speak up. Behind the scenes I think she is furiously working to get the VP nod. Never thought I’d say it, but I now think she’s going to get that. The party already has some major events planned through the end of the week for fundraising and great opportunities for Clinton and Obama to hold hands and announce the ticket and at the same time raise some money to get Billary out of that 20 million dollar debt.</p>
<p>IMO this is all over but the timing of it, which should be all said and done before the week is out at which time the Obama/Clinton ticket is announced.</p>
<p>I hope she doesn’t get the VP nod. Last we need is yet another dynasty in the White House. And Bill Clinton is a loose cannon now. He had his chance before, and blew it big time. Please, Obama, choose another path.</p>
