Hi everyone. Tis finally break! (at least for some of us!)

I am junior in Michigan public school. Like everyone, I’ve begun seriously considering colleges and would like to see which ones I am qualified for–as well as compatible…

lend a helping hand please?

how good are my chances for admittance in stanford…and my survival there? (i mean let’s admit it, stanford attendees are pretty amazing people!)

here’s a quick load down:

GPA: (weighted) 4.4/4.33 (mostly A+'s, few A)
Ranking: none official, but probably top 5 student
SAT: 800 C.R., 800 Math, 690 Writing (yeah…they gave me 8 for essay!)
SAT II: 800’s for US history, math 2c, bio
AP’s: Bio, US History (both 5)
taking 6 AP’s this year (including Calc BC and French)

but these are grades…and we know grades aren’t everything in admission process.

EC:
DSO Youth orchestra (Sinfonia, Phil)–9,10,11
Research at nearby college–9,10,11 (science fair this year!! EXCITING!)
Tutoring (2hrs/wk) for Korean/adopted Korean kids–9,10,11
-came to US in 5th grade, so quite fluent in korean
Math Curriculum Committee–10, 11 (helping build new math curriculum to match new michigan requirement!)
Lit magazine (publicity director), service club (VP), quiz bowl (secretary)–officer position this year, but partcipated 9,10,11

that’s the major points…

awards/recognition:
French National Exam national bronze (once)
French National Exam state top 10 (twice)
Poetry Competition Top 10 winner in state(once)
KSEA (only for koreans) math competition–national 3rd (once)
MMPC (math competition) Top 100 (once)

uniqueness in background:
korean immigrant who lives in all-white communitiy
-actually, gave me really interesting experiences (used to live in CA town with almost majority of asian population then moved to MI with majority of white–ALMOST no mirnority)

so far…

I’ve worked hard and really should just have confidence in myself…but there are just so many amazing people out there (literally ppl who will cure cancer) and I don’t know how well I can compete against them.

What do you think?
any advices?
