burnout

just curious, anyone here experiencing/has experienced mental burnout?

I am currently experiencing mental burnout…I spend all my time here instead of studying, mainly because this is my first social outlet to which I devote any significant amount of time.

mental… physical… emotional… you name it i’ve got it. thank god my spring break is only 2 days away

we get report sometime over break…hopefully my burnouts were worth it because most of my teachers keep our grades top secret until the report cards are mailed and flip if you ask them

I’m on break right now. I thought it was going to be awesome since most of my friends can drive now. Then I remembered that I’m sick of all of them and can’t wait until this summer (I hope I get into my first choice program - it’s residential) and college next year.

Or at least until I can drive. Then I can go up to New Brunswick and visit my sister! Whooo. Except that she’s coming home for the summer the week aftert I get my license… I’ll be soo bored until then.

I probably SHOULD be burned out right now since I’m taking 6 AP’s in a few weeks - 3 of which I’m self-studying for and I haven’t read through an entire book on any of them - an SAT II in May, the ACT in June, and I have B’s in half my classes…

I’m in a state of pure and utter apathy and it’s going to kill me.

New Brunswick as in Rutgers or as in University of New Brunswick in Fredericton?

Driving from Jersey up to Canada wouldn’t make much sense.

Yes, I thought the former was right; however, I attend a high school where not too many of the best kids stay in state, so I figured just taking that a slight stretch would be fine…we even have my fellow euphonium section leader majoring in euphonium at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester (UK).
