In other post I asked for input about Education X152 and if it helps with BUS-A 100. I just received an email saying it is risky to take BUS-A 100 first semester freshman year is risky. I thought this is when most students take it. Am I making a mistake taking it first semester? and should I wait until I can take Education X152 with it?

A-100 is no longer a weed-out course. (section GPA= Avg student GPA-0.2) If the difference > 0.6, you need to be very careful.

Thanks…

A100 can be an easy class if you study the materials thoroughly and take advantage of the practice exams given. Many of the questions on the tests are practically identical to practice questions. I’m not familiar with the supplementary class, but I would think that if you took the time that would be used for that class and applied it to studying for a100, you would be just fine. If you need the B minimum to get in as a standard admit, it may seem risky to some, so if you don’t think you can handle it, don’t take it yet. However, from what I’ve seen, everyone who has done poorly in the class simply didn’t read much outside of class, didn’t use the practice tests, or didn’t take the class as seriously as it should be taken.
