is there a forum at cornell where all people with an interest in business meet and talk and actually… do business. not corporate bs, real entrepreneurship stuff. im sure there are quite few of these but what are the largest ones?

there is an investment club, real estate club, ak psi (professional business frat), and i think there is and entrepreneurship club. go to the activites fair and check out everything.

when is the activities fair, is it during orientation?

Corporate BS makes the world go round.

Cornells Entrepreneurship program is a University-wide program (participating colleges at Cornell are CALS, Engineering, Hotel, ILR, CAS, Hum Ec (Undergraduate) plus Veterinary, Johnson and Law (Graduate) .

This program works in conjunction with Cornells Entrepreneur Network (CEN) which, as the name suggests provides networking opportunities for alum, students, faculty and staff.

Well, there are many clubs that are business-oriented. Cornell Economics Society, Investment Club, Mutual fund club, Cornell Entrepreneurship Organization (CEO), etc.

As far as forums go, there are none. The Economics Society is opening a business forum that is brand new this year (I know, because I set it up). It’s not really finished yet, and the domain isn’t set, but you can view the “pre-release” version at this web address.

Hope that helps.

The activities fair is known as ClubFest; it is on the Sunday of Welcome Weekend (8/26, I believe) from 1-4pm in Barton Hall. Definitely go and explore the different clubs that are out there and talk to the members to see which one is best for you.

do you think i could find some partners to start a company while in college through the Cornell Entrepreneurship Organization?

Most definitely.

You wouldn’t happen to be an amazing programmer would you?
