Business Economics

can one get a MBA by taking business economics at UC Irvine?

and what are a few jobs that a business economics major can have?

Any major can get an MBA.

Lots of jobs.

https://career.berkeley.edu/Major/Econ.stm

You can get a MBA even if you majored in Film. MBA is a graduate school degree so it really doesn’t matter what you study as an undergrad (even though studying something relevant is obviously a benefit).

You can really go into several jobs, the same jobs as if you were studying accounting, business, management, or marketing. Your jobs aren’t limited based on the major you pursue. Internships/work experience are more important than your major. However, you don’t want to major in something completely different than the field you want to go into.

Yes, but it may vary slightly from different business schools.

Typically, students will work a few years after getting their bachelor, before pursuing the MBA.

Business schools will look at the following:

*GPA
*GMAT
*RESUME
*WORK EXPERIENCE?
*PROFESSIONAL REFERENCES
*TRANSCRIPTS

(in no particular order).

A BA in business econ will probably qualify you for any entry-level business-related positions, or any economist-related positions.
