Which Business Field of Study has the best job prospect in corporates and academia?

You will hear the same answer over and over. Accounting, finance or MIS.

Accounting with a minor in MIS. I used to teach accounting and would steer my students away from being finance majors, but that was 20 years ago. What do you think you want to do with your life?

whats a MIS?
and why would you steer students away from being finance majors?

MIS = Management Information System.

My guess is that an accountant can do a finance job, but not via.

The accounting discipline covers many of the basic topics in finance whereas finance does not cover the technical accounting principles. In this sense, an accounting major could be seen as more valuable than a finance major.

I would also say accounting, but I am bias; I am an accounting major.
