business in Buenos Aires

This is a long shot -

But I need to attend a meeting in Buenos Aires & will need to provide several dozen binders of material. Rather than drag the materials down with me (and risk having them lost by an airline or held up in customs) I’m considering flying down early to photocopy and assemble the materials.

Can anyone tell me if I could expect to easily find the Argentinian version of Office Max and Kinkos? Would I be able to buy 3- (or 4-) ring binders and tabs, and produce professional quality, hole-punched, 2 sided copies?

I haven’t been to Buenos Aires before, and my friend Mr. GOOGLE hasn’t been as helpful with this quest as he normally is.

What you need to look is for something called Centro de Copiado.

Here’s a result of a google search:

[centro de copiado en Argentina](http://www.todoar.com.ar/centro-de-copiado.html)

Here’s one chosen at random:

[Centro Integral de Copiado - www.mega-copy.com.ar](http://www.mega-copy.com.ar/)

There is a Kinco (not with the K)

[== KINCO’S ==](http://www.kincos.com.ar/)

Also, one different avenue would entail contacting one of the large hotels that hosts many conventions (see Sheraton) since they must have a business center used to deal with people needing copies and presentation material.

Fwiw, you might be able to send your files via email and have them ready at your arrival.

xiggi, thanks very much! This is very helpful. I don’t speak Spanish, but I’m getting enough of a gist from the webpages to have a sense of their services.

Mucho gracias!

^^ You could always use the translator function of Google on the page -
[Google Translate](http://translate.google.com/translate_t#)

Buenos Aires is a large city that has pretty much everything. Make sure to try some of their steak while you’re there (if you’re not a vegetarian) - it’s excellent. Try one of their traditional Argentinean BBQ restaurants where they have the fire in the center and slow cook the meat on upright spits surrounding it. I’ve only been there once but it was interesting.

ummmm… I’m getting hungry.

Thanks for the tip. Both about translations and steak!

Wow, I just tried that Google Translate to translate one of the websites on xiggi’s list. Very slick! The combination of Xiggi’s tip and yours was exactly what I needed to get me started on this.

Be sure to see a tango show.
