Do you think rank should matter over cost for this major? Starting to question my more affordable choice. Specifically, Bentley vs. Temple. Bentley would cost $10,000/yr more. Is Bentley $40,000/yr better than Temple ? I don’t think so, but interested in other opinions. I love both schools, but Temple offers more of the “college life” I’m looking for.
Temple has like the top 14 or 15 MIS program in the country according to USNews. And I think it ranks #1 for MIS research in the world (according to some other ranking), or something like that, and it has 100% job placement rate for undergrads (it was one of the schools I considered, so I know a little bit about the program). So it’s a very strong program, maybe stronger than Bentley’s. I don’t think Bentley is ranked for MIS. And Bentley isn’t significantly more renowned than Temple overall, or maybe at all. So definitely don’t choose Bentley just because you think it’s more prestigious. It’s not.
Plus, at Temple you’ll have the opportunity to have a much more well-rounded education, and the college life you’re looking for like you say.
