So, I am a junior majoring in Business. I have a genuine interest in business and have a VERY strong GPA. However, what I’ve been reading lately is that business degrees are considered easy and not very useful, especially if I’m looking to apply for grad school. I have a double minor in a foreign language (Spanish) and Sociology as well. Was it a mistake to major in business, and will it really hurt me in terms of finding a job and/or applying to grad school?

No, it was not a miskate.

It sounds like you majored in plain “Business Administration.” Yes, that is/was a big mistake. If you are only a Junior, perhaps it is not too late to declare a concentration/major in Accounting, Finance, Operations/Supply Chain/Logistics, or Management Information Systems.

If you are going to grad school for an MBA then I think a generic undergrad in business admin is redundant. It won’t hurt you in applying for a job or to grad school but you’ll find that the MBA just repeats information that you have already learned.
