Looking for results specifically applying to business related schools/majors like business/finance/accounting/econ
(not necessarily top schools) in last couple cycles and getting merit money. If people can put basic stats - residency state, GPA and SAT/ACT, school applied ED, EA or RD, major and merit recieved (please do not inlude FA).
I know U Denver now gives $33K, was $30K.
My daughter and her bf - he was business - he had a 34, 10 or 12 APs…the usual regular top student.
I think many schools - you’ve seen the merit - don’t award by major - so your auto merits - whether a Bama, Arizona, and so many with merit tables…Mizzou and more - there’s really a lot of them. And then those like U of SC, Miami Ohio - that are coming heavy merit wise…even in business. You just don’t know the exact amount.
You have another coming? There’s really a ton of solid b schools out there.
Just to be clear, merit aid is financial aid.
Note also that many schools, especially ‘buyer’ schools, don’t necessarily delineate between merit and need based aid, they are just giving discounts.
I get it, but looking at money based on Merit and not family income.
St. Joe’s gave my son a nice merit package but it was four years ago. Check the CDS for what they are offering more recently. I know that unlike some schools (looking at you, Pitt), SJU still offers decent merit. The business school has the right accreditations and is particularly strong for finance, actuarial science, accounting, and food marketing. He had a great experience there. Lots to recommend.
