Business School Requirements

Hey guys, I am planning out my schedule for the next 3 years because I want to fit everything in. Is it possible, in the business school, to not take one of the requirements in the semester that you usually take it? To be more specific, I want to not take OMS 311 during second semester of junior year and take it second semester senior year. Is that possible?

I’m going to bump this…does anyone know?

it is possible but i think the bschool admin has to pull some serious strings to do this.

i know someone who got their core classes waived to take during senior year, but that was because they had health problems and had to take a semester off.

I know someone who got out of the requirement entirely (they are taking IOE 265 instead because they are doing a dual BBA/BS-IOE) so there is some flexibility. The only way to really be sure is to talk to someone in the B-school though.

Ok, thanks guys. So, where would I go to talk to somebody? BBA Academic Advising?

Are you a freshman? Are you guaranteed admit into the B-School?

I don’t know exactly who you need to contact, but I know some kids who should know and be able to give you some advice as to what you need to approach them with in order to really have your request considered. PM me if you are interested.

vladenschlutte – get back to marketing

to answer the OP’s question: you can take a test to waive out of that OMS class. Make sure you know when the test is, though, because they only offer it once a year i believe.

Here’s a link with some info: <a href=“Areas of Study | Michigan Ross”>http://www.bus.umich.edu/Academics/Curriculum/CoreCurriculum/Waivers/WaiverExamSchedule.htm</a></p>

Hey, not fair. I don’t know who you are.

Plus, I contend that this is marketing.

nubs, i dont thnk you can test out of oms 311. but you can test out of oms 301.
