Business School

I am currently a high school senior in Florida and I would love to be able to go to school in New York and eventually live there. I lived there in the summers as a kid and still go every summer for a week now. Can anyone recommend a school with a business program:
-with a lower out-of-state tuition
-in central/south eastern New York
-possibly even with an equestrian team

SUNY Potsdam has an equestrian team but is located in northern NY near the Canadian border. They do have lower tuition than the SUNY universities but would have the same tuition as the SUNY colleges. Their room and board charges are a little lower too. Potsdam does have a large endowment and is generous with scholarships.

SUNY Geneseo is considered the public honors LAC in NY. Excellent school with reasonable tuition.

Also has an equestrian team…

Thanks! Do you know if they give scholarships for the equestrian team?

I am not really sure but I can ask around…I know of someone who is currently on the team.

Okay because that’s my main concern

How are your grades, SAT etc.

I have a 3.8 weighted gpa, 1130 SAT, National Honor Society, 1 credit away from AICE diploma

With those stats you would be eligible for Dean’s Scholarship at Alfred University (NY) at their School of Business, at $12,000/year in merit aid. COA for School of Business runs about $38,000/year, not a 50k plus school. Get a higher SAT score & then get the 14k Merit Award each year. (Presidential Scholarship) Should interview to receive merit aid.

In some more research I found Pace. Is that a good school?

Pace is ok…but of the schools mentioned above Geneseo is the best.

Good business school is deffinitly Baruch its a cuny school, check it out! If yu don’t want cuny. Manhattan college is private and has best business program

Sent from my SGH-T959 using CC App

^ Agreed. Baruch’s perfect. Right in manhattan, very (very) affordable tuition and probably the best business school in the area next to nyu, columbia and fordham.

OP, is the Equestrian Team a make or break issue?
What about financial aid? What can your family afford?
