busy work

I hate it. is there any of it in college?

Lots....depending on your major. I'm in my junior year of mechanical engineering and there is ton of it. Lots of writing for assignments and lab reports. All of the concepts and formulas are in my head but I have to physically write them out and that takes time. And for another class I had to make up some big Excel spreadsheets the required tons of formulas and mathematical symbols.

my teacher has an equation program (makes it so you can write out equations a lot easier). you might be able to find one.

I guess it depends on your major. I'm doing astronomy and physics and there is virtually NO busy work, mostly conceptual stuff that you need to pay attention to. We get problem sets, but they aren't too bad. Definitely everything we do is for a purpose.
