<p>Can anyone recommend where to purchase books? My niece was able to buy all of her books off the internet this summer for about 50-60% less than the regular price but she knew ahead of time all of her courses. What do Stanford Freshman do in this case? Is there anyone who was able to get to NSO, register for classes, and order books off the internet at a discounted rate and get them back in time for classes?</p>

<p>I would love any helpful hints.</p>

<p>In humanities courses that require an array of books, you can buy the first couple from the bookstore and order the rest. </p>

<p>In classes that require a textbook, it may be good to buy the textbook, rapid fire order it off Amazon or another site, then return the textbook by the deadline. This deadline is pretty quick into the quarter, but it’s nice to have a textbook to start the class.</p>
