As I type these characters I am acutely aware of the constant vibrations in my left and right foot. Both feet feel like they are tingling, pulsating, it’s as if I had stepped over my cell phone. A constant, intermittent, pulsating sensation, that is freaking me out. What is going on with meow! Anyone else experiencing this?
I have had that sensation in the past. I described it like stepping off a train which had been buzzing along, and your legs still felt like that. At the time, I had just switched to a generic birth control pill and my doc thought maybe that was related.
I know from personal experience that this can originate from your spine (compressionof nerve, or stenosis), or Lyme disease, or B12 deficiency, or autoimmune disorders. I would ask a doctor to do some tests for the above. Make sure to get a Wester Blot, not an Elisa, for Lyme and then be aware there are differences in interpretation.
If it persists definitely get it checked out. Based on my limited data set, it can possibly maybe be associated with autoimmune or neurological disorders. Or more likely nothing. So worth it to get it checked out for the peace of mind.
This was thoroughly discussed in the thread linked in post#2
I wish the posters in that other thread had all come back to tell what actually was the outcome when they went to their doctors. A few did…but not all.
Curious what doctors would say now.
A friend described that sensation in her feet as the first manifestation of type 2 diabetes. The previous thread is from 2010. I think the poster is entitled to her own discussion!
I have that in my feet. I have Peripheral Neuropathy from lots of chemo. It’s in my hands too.
I do this for a living. Find a foot doctor in your area and get it checked out. Start with the basics. I wouldn’t start doing blood tests etc before just getting it checked out. Anything from overuse to a neuroma to compressed nerves to lower back issue compressing nerves to the leg /foot (most likely with nerve pain down the leg), to starting peripheral neuropathy…there’s a saying “Don’t start with looking for Zebras”. Start ruling out the basic things first.
Yes, neuropathy might be a prime suspect.
