BuzzPort Application Date ??

I submitted my application at 4:56 PM (west coast time) on November 1st, thus making the scholarship deadline (midnight, November 1st). However, when looking at BuzzPort, it reads:
Requested Enrollment Date: Nov 02, 2010

Should I be concerned or do you think this is the date that the application was uploaded? Does anyone else who applied before the deadline on November 1st see the same November 2nd application date?

Midnight is usually the start of a day (at least in military time). So midnight on November 1 would be 1 minute after 11:59 PM on October 31.

Most people avoid that confusion by making things due at 12:01 AM or 11:59 PM on a particular day.

To be more clear…
The application deadline was November 1st. That means an applicant had until 11:59 PM EST on November 1st to submit. So, I submitted three hours before the EST deadline.

Why, then, the November 2nd requested enrollment date?

I think your best option is to call the admissions office to ensure that you got all your questions answered. At the very least send them an email!. Answers you get in the ccboard may not be right one.

Thanks, Artdad. I did as you suggested…

Here’s Admission’s response (if anyone else is wondering):
"The requested enrollment date refers to the date on which your application was fully processed into our system, not the date on which you submitted your application.

Any student who applied on November 1 by 11:59pm will be considered for the President’s Scholarship Program deadline."

:)

You are welcome. Good luck with your applications.
