<p>I would say that score is good for everything below UCSD, like UCSB, UCD, UCI, UCSC, etc.</p>
<p>so is it ridiculously hard to get into the UC’s outofstate?</p>

<p>Miscellaneous: I’m not sure if this matters, but I’m one of six kids and neither of my parents went to college(first generation student). I also share a room with two of my brothers who are drug addicts and partygoers, and I’m pretty much the only one in my family who is doing decent in school.</p>

<p>i’m in the exact sam position as you almost, i got an 1900.</p>
<p>personally, i’m shooting for 2000-2100 for UCSD.</p>
<p>if you’re in state, you’d be fine with an 1850 or so for UCSD, since their range is 1130-1360/1600</p>
<p>Your race doesn’t matter with the UCs - they don’t discriminate based on race. You do get points if neither parent graduated college.</p>
<p>Try to bump up the SAT some more (>1950) to be comfortable. Also in addition to UCSD, make sure you apply at some of the other UCs that are easier to get into.</p>
<p>Any insight on out of state? I’m also interested in applying to UC. Primarily Berkeley and Davis.</p>

anyway, i think your stats are a bit on the low side, but b/c of ur bkgrnd they add points to that. try to get it above 2000. if you want, check out the websites of ucs that you are interested in b/c they give you their stats (avg sat, etc)</p>
