By how much can I improve?

So I receive all A’s at a pretty average public school. I am a rising junior who takes the highest possible level for each course as well as taking 2 languages, so I consider myself to be an above-average student. I am aiming to take the November SAT as a junior this year, and just now started a Kaplan Online Classroom Anywhere course. On my first ever SAT last week, I scored an 1860. Do you think it’s possible to raise my score to at least a 2200 within 3-4 months?

If so, are there any prep books that I should consider looking into? I already have the Collegeboard SAT book as well as Kaplan materials??

You can raise your score if you work hard. I like Collegeboard SAT online .

I’ve seen many students improve over 300 points within 3-4 months.
Secret is practice with a lot real SAT questions. I feel Kaplan online course isn’t enough to help you achieve 2200.

You have quite good a chance to strike the 2200 mark. Resources to be used:

 1. The Blue Book (ABSOLUTELY necessary, no substitute for this one)
 2. The Official SAT Online Course.

Thanks for the help!

The only thing that can’t be helped with practice, in my opinion, is vocabulary. For that, I would recommend Essential 500. You’ll see a lot of people recommend Direct Hits, but Essential is by the same author, is a more up to date list, and has been getting a lot more “hits” on the more recent SAT’s. Also, when you take the blue book tests, make sure you go to the CollegeBoard BookOwners area (just google it) and check your wrong answers and see their explanations. Practice without learning from your mistakes won’t get you too far, so it is vital for you to read these explanations and understand how the CollegeBoard thinks. Also, make sure you read the sample essays in the BookOwners area to see how your essay compares. Good luck! Finally, to actually answer your question, yes, it is possible to get in the 2200 range within 3-4 months.
