<p>One C probably won’t kill you. I had a C in AP physics senior year, that class was beyond brutal. If the rest of your app is good then don’t worry too much. But then again, what do I know, admissions is ridiculous. 1770 does seem pretty low though… Hopefully you made up for that with other things.</p>
<p>It won’t hurt you unless you’re applying for sciences. My friend is doing the IB diploma, which requires a science, and she got a 70% in biology, and she had an 86% average and average SAT. She explained her circumstances to her interviewers, and now she’s at yale.</p>
<p>what was your breakdown for the 1770? if you got 800m and 800v and 170 w (very unlikely lol) you’d be they’d consider that perfect… but yeah they don’t look at writing (unfortunately for me) so if you did better in math and verbal, that would definitely help you… and i think one c in an ap course wouldn’t be the deciding factor… but it really would have to be unusual, like if you have a ton of Bs and B-s on your transcript from previous years, i’d say your chances aren’t as great</p>
<p>The C won’t hurt your chances significantly, I myself got a 3 on the exam and was accepted. However the rest of your transcript needs to be pretty strong, especially since your SATs are only average. But you’re still in the running.</p>

<p>you can’t get below 200 on Writing, or any section of the SAT for that matter… </p>
<p>That aside, a C can be explained, but the 1770 is a bit harmful, you’d really need to have a strong GPA and outstanding ECs to make up for that.</p>
<p>well im a junior and 1770 is the first time i took it…im gonna retake it too more times</p>
<p>i took it without any prep so i know for a fact my score will rise a lot</p>
<p>the break down was 640 math 460 ct and 670 writing</p>

<p>It’s not going to hurt you I’ve had a C in chem. AP o the heck with it i’ve had plenty of C’s and i use to be in IB but what’s your hook though? what makes you stand out?</p>
