"C" in AP science class for both semesters..how will this affect college admissions?

Our D is in HS and took a class called Honors Pre AP Calculus this past year. It’s a Pre Calc course designed to prepare you for AP Calc.

Wouldn’t all high school precalculus courses be intended to prepare the student for calculus (whether an AP course in high school, or a calculus course in college)?
